Jamie Brooks was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she graduated from Minneapolis Public Schools and began a life rooted in community, service, and leadership. After the events of 9/11, Jamie felt called to serve her country and joined the United States Navy in 2002. She completed six years of active duty and continued her commitment with an additional four years in the Navy Reserves.
Throughout her life, Jamie has lived in many places across the country, including Minneapolis, Great Lakes (Illinois), Indianapolis (Indiana), Denver (Colorado), Meridian (Mississippi), and Waianae (Hawaii). Each experience helped shape her deep understanding of resilience, growth, and the power of human connection.
Jamie has dedicated much of her career to education, serving students and families throughout the greater Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Over the past nine years, she has held multiple roles at MNIC High School, including serving on the executive team, where she continues to support young people and strengthen her community.
In addition to her work in schools, Jamie has spent nearly two decades coaching and mentoring through athletics. She coached dance team for 17 years and cheerleading for seven. Today, she continues her involvement in the sport as a dance team judge with JAM Dance Teams and the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).
Driven by her passion for helping others grow and thrive, Jamie co-founded The Comeback Academy alongside her cousin Tyler. Together, they created The Comeback Academy as a space for second chances, personal growth, and becoming better humans. Their mission is to inspire people to rise from setbacks, rediscover their purpose, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Above all, Jamie is a wife, a mother, and a lifelong lover of people. She is committed to giving back to the world, supporting others through their journeys, and building a legacy that makes her husband, children, and family proud.
