Volunteer Opportunity: Board of Directors Member

Comeback Academy

Comeback Academy is currently seeking 3–5 dedicated volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors. This is an exciting opportunity to help guide and strengthen a growing nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact in our community.

Role Overview

Board members play an essential leadership role in conducting the business of the nonprofit and ensuring the organization operates responsibly and effectively. Volunteers serving on the board will help provide oversight, direction, and accountability for Comeback Academy’s mission and programs.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Participating in board meetings and supporting nonprofit decision-making
  
  

• Ensuring the organization follows all rules and regulations for nonprofit boards in Minnesota
  
  

• Helping hold the program accountable to its mission, goals, and policies
  
  

• Supporting ethical governance, financial responsibility, and organizational transparency
  
  

• Assisting with strategic planning and community engagement as needed
  
  

Ideal Volunteers Are:

• Passionate about youth, education, and community development
  
  

• Willing to collaborate as part of a leadership team
  
  

• Interested in learning about nonprofit governance and board responsibilities
  
  

• Committed to upholding nonprofit compliance and accountability standards
  
  

Time Commitment

Board members are expected to attend regular meetings and contribute to board activities throughout the year. Specific scheduling will be discussed with selected volunteers.
