Tyler Edwards

Tyler was born at Midway hospital in Saint Paul. He was raised at Skyline Towers and the Gentry Townhomes in Oakdale. Tyler is one of our founders, a Navy veteran, University of Chicago alumnus, and an East View Academy (Rice St.) ALC alumnus. 

He founded The Comeback Academy to help students and young adults rebuild structure, confidence, and direction after setbacks.

Tyler holds an Associate of Arts degree in Economics from Santa Barbara City College. He is a Posse Foundation Scholar (UChicago Posse 1) and graduated with a degree in Economics (Business Specialization) as one of the first veterans from the University of Chicago's College. He is a former CTT(IW) serving onboard the USS John. C Stennis from 2014-2018. 

Drawing on over a decade of experience across the military, finance, and community-based work, Tyler created the Academy to turn missed opportunities into lasting comebacks through academic skill-building, mentorship, and real-world exposure.

Tyler is recently married and expecting a Baby Boy due in June '26.
