The Comeback Academy Adult Program is a 10-week, cohort-based experience designed specifically for Alternative Learning Center (ALC) students ages 18 and older who are working toward diploma completion while navigating adult responsibilities.
This program supports students who may be balancing school with work, family, housing instability, or past system involvement. The focus is on structure, accountability, academic readiness, and post-graduation planning.
Week 1: Reset, Ownership & Direction
Clarifying goals, expectations, and accountability.
Week 2: Learning How Adults Learn
Memory techniques, study systems, and applied learning.
Week 3: Structure, Discipline & Time Management
Building routines that support graduation and stability.
Week 4: Communication, Boundaries & Professionalism
Self-advocacy, workplace expectations, and conflict navigation.
Week 5: Education & Career Pathways
College, skilled trades, unions, military, and workforce options.
Week 6: Financial Stability & Life Skills
Budgeting, banking, credit basics, and planning ahead.
Week 7: Community, Service & Civic Awareness
Understanding systems, resources, and belonging.
Week 8: Decision-Making, Accountability & Consequences
Navigating adult choices with long-term impact.
Week 9: Capstone Preparation & Transition Planning
Resume support, interview readiness, and next-step mapping.
Week 10: Capstone Trek & Reflection
Visits to employers, colleges, training centers, and cultural spaces.
Graduates join the Comeback Academy alumni community, with access to mentorship and ongoing opportunities.
